Market Sheep

As I mentioned on the home page, I started out with just a mix breed of sheep to see how I liked them.  When I started getting the Leicester Longwools, I couldn't just abandon those ewes that I had raised from babies, so I will probably keep the them around for quite some time yet.  The first two we got were bottle babies back in 2007 -- Mary and Gabrielle.  They have been very good mothers and the lambs grow fast and taste good.  Of course that is mainly what happens to my market lambs...

All market babies will be 50% Leicester Longwool as it would be unwise for me to keep a
ram of non-Leicester Longwool blood.  It is very interesting to see the fleece of these babies.  You can definitely see the Longwool affect in the wool.  All market babies are for sale at current market prices.
